A GLIMPSE OF A SOUL
I was attracted by THE MOTHER'S calendar photo when I was doing my
post graduation,way back in 1960's.
Her eyes and the sweet smile used to tell me as to what should I do
in any given circumstance.Her looks used to reassure me as if mocking
at me when I was perturbed, telling me just not to get bogged down by
adverse circumstances,and to get on with life as it comes.Sort of the
feeling we get when our own mother helps us in depressing times and
encourage us to move on with a smile like HER's.
"THE MOTHER" USED TO SPEAK TO ME AND I COULD UNDERSTAND WHAT SHE WANTED
TO TELL ME.
MEIRA, her childhood name, born in France,came to Pondicherry{India},
a French Colony at that time.
She saw Lord Krishna in SRI AUROBINDO whom she used to see in her dreams
in her childhood days.
SRI AUROBINDO was from Bengal{India}, a revolutionary and freedom fighter.
He got enlightenment while in jail,put in by British Gov't for his revolutionary
activities.
He came to Pondicherry to practice Integral Yoga, and extensively read and wrote
about the Indian scriptures. He became a Maharshi. He died in 1950 there.
The mother stayed back in Pondicherry and looked after the AUROBINDO ASHRAM
as HIS disciple. She died in 1973 there.
I went to Pondicherry with my wife in April end 1997. We urged the receptionist
to let us enter the personal room of SRI AUROBINDO to meditate and receive his
blessings.
The meditation was deep and satisfying.
Immediately afterwords I took photographs of their SAMADHI with due permission.
In the right hand side of my blog ,you can see those photographs. I was surprised
to find a glimpse of SRI AUROBINDO on the donation box near the samadhi.
The box was made of rusted iron and there is no chance of any reflection coming
through to my camera. Moreover, no photographs are there on the walls arround.
If you closely observe, you can see his eyes, eyeballs, white portion in the eyes,
the nose, the mouth, the lips,the forehead,scattered beard and the chest also.
He is looking a little sideways.
The eye gesture, the lips style resemble with the original photo.
I have sent copies of these photos to several institutions, including
AUROBINDO ASHRAM,throughout India and received feed back.They all agree that
the image resembles SRI AUROBINDO'S.
There is no imagination like elephants in clouds or a shadow image.
THEN, WHAT IS IT?I am open to examination as I have negatives,photo permission card,
period of our stay there etc.
I have received letters stating that this is a gift of god to me.
Through MEDITATION I could get the glimpse of the SOUL which is present there
in the powerful atmosphere of PONDICHERRY{INDIA}.

We generally take our nearest relatives
like father, mother, brothers,sisters ,
and other blood relatives for GRANTED,
and behave with them as per our whims and
fancies at the moment of time.
WE mis behave ,illtreat, shout at them
at own will because they have to bear with it
as they belong to us and can not severe
emotional ties with us abruptly.
On the other hand, we behave decently with
other people,friends etc as we are aware
that the other person will not take it
lightly and may not like to meet and talk
to us again.
What I am trying to say here is that to
maintain relations with others we maintain
a degree of dignity and respect for them.
I request you to consider the fact that
why can not we maintain the same dignity
when dealing with our own near and dear
ones as this is most important for the
peace and happyness at home.
Why do we treat our own relatives as
a use and throw itoms.
Almost all families are faced with
this kind of situation leading to
breakups, tentions, unhappyness and
even hatrad between family members.

A FUTILE EXERCISE
Is there any need to acquire more knowledge than what we already have?
Have we put into practice in our life what we already know?
Afterall more knowledge is required for the betterment of our lives!
Have we made our lives better than before?
We certainly know that early to rise in the morning and doing
some exercises is good for our health,are we doing that?
WE do know that the vices of falsehood,cheating,anger,lust,
attachments,ego,etc make us lose best of our friends,lead us to
all sorts of troubles in life,have we even tried to reduce these
wrong habits in our lives?
science is evil in bad minds!
money is evil in wrong hands!
Good charactor,timely work and rest ,hard work and sincerity,
courage to change the wrongs,are the most necessary qualities
to be developed in life to attain happiness and peace and progress.
Don't we most certainly know that?Have we made some efforts
in this direction?
A diabetic patient needs more exercise,food control.
A heart patient needs to control enxiety,eating habits and
a regular time table.
Do they even observe restraint, inspite of the knowledge?
More knowledge and little application is just a mental
exercise,which is of little significance unless put to
regular practice.
Our urgent need is to try to use the knowledge
what we already have,instead of stuffing our minds
with more and more of it.It is a waste effort.
Excess knowledge without practice is like using our minds like
dustbins ,overflowing with waste ,emanating bad smells of
ego, tentions in life,illhealth,frictions in society, resulting in
chaos all arround.
A LOT MORE CAN BE SAID ABOUT IT ,BASED ON
OUR OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCES.

I VALUE EVERY LIFE AS A MOST PRECIOUS GIFT

IT SHOULD BE CULTIVATED,NURTURED AND LIVED TO THE MAXIMUM,
POSITIVELY,HAPPLY IN THE CARE OF WELL MEANING PERSONS.
IN MY VIEW, PETTY CRIMES ARE COMMITTED AT A PARTICULAR TIME
ARE NOTICED ,TALKED ABOUT, TAKEN CARE BY THE LAW AND FORGOTTEN
SOON.
BUT THE GRADUAL DECAY AND THE PERMANCY OF THE DAMAGE
DONE THROUGH MISGUIDANCE RECEIVED AT A TENDER AGE DESTROYS
LIFE AND THEREFORE CAUSES MAXIMUM DAMAGE IS INEXCUSABLE.
IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO HELP OTHERS IN ANY WAY
AND CANNOT GIVE PROPER GUIDANCE TO ANYBODY

When I see
Dishonest,untruthful, cruel and careless
Drunkards,womanizers
Money-mad unhealthy persons
Getting respected socially,
Violating all norms of ethical standards
Of a civilized society,
I feel sad
Jealous and
Ashamed of myself,
As to what have I got
Persuing RELIGION,
Being honest,truthful,
Hard working
Wise and courageous?
OH GOD!
If you are testing me
To refine me
By putting me on fire,
I feel burned out
Frustrated,depressed
Disillusioned, defeated.
PLEASE GOD!
I prey to you with my folded hands
To be sensible
And stop this nonsense,as
There is a limit to everything.
OR
Have these unholy people
Become so powerful that
YOU too feel
Cornered and clueless
About your own human machinations
And have surrendered to
THE DESTINY

PREPARE GOOD CITIZENS
{OUR GENERATION HAS SPOILED}
In each country there is a legel administrative
setup from the Minister of education level
to the district education officer and town
level inspecters in the department.
Please examine whether they are working
as per the laws and the times?
{1}Schools,colleges,universities are not
being maintained properly.
{2}Their administration has been politicised.
{3}Adm. officers do not want to work even
in official hours.
{4}Students do not attend their classes,
they roam arround in the campus or sit
in the canteen or go to cinema bunking
their classes.Rowdism has become
fashionable.
{5}Lecturers, after registering their attendence
,do not go to the classes to teach.
If they regularly attend classes and teach
sincerely, the students will also start attending
as they will not require to go to coaching classes
run by the same teachers else where for the exhorbitant coaching fees they charge.This
is being done in full knowledge of
the administrators.
Inspectors are bribed when an inspection is conducted, that too to show in the records only.
Every where the whole education system has
become shamlessly careless ,undutyful
and rotten.
I am writing this with a purpose.
O.K. this present generation has reached to the
lowest level of decay.
Our government is taxing people and is spending
a lot of money on various schemes,some genuine
and some politically motivated.
I request all TO WHOM SO EVER IT MAY CONCERN
,The govt. to concentrate her full energies to
sincerely revamp ,regulate and discplin the staff
and the students and concentrate and spend
maximum revenue receipts on education.
THIS I DO, TO WARN OUR GENERATION
TO STOP THE DECAY IN THE NEW GENERATION.
From the tender age of say 15yrs. to 25yrs.
our children spend most of their time in
schools colleges and this is the time when
the personality of a person gets moulded,
developed or destroyed.
OUR FUTURE DEPENDS ON A NEW, VIRTUOUS
AND A DISCIPLINED LOT OF PEOPLE.
